Honestly, something needs to be done about z0r.

What used to be a popular website in the early 2010s is now an abandoned place now mainly serving as a place for dumping random garbage ads on the forum board. There should be at least one last time of fame for z0r before the late 2020 end of support of Flash.

Yo I just made me an account to check what will happen with z0r.
I was like 12 years old or something when I first visited z0r. It's part of my childhood.

Is there sort of a z0r database one can download or something?
I don't want to lose any of this magic shit D:

What makes you think that z0r.de is going away? Ive been supporting the site for about 13 years now, i dont really feel like stopping.
If you worry about flash going away, downloading everything is not gonna help. Actually there is a HTML5 mode now thats available with a ?ruffle at the end of the URL (like so). It supports about 50% of the loops right now, but the development is still ongoing.
There is a theory wich states that if ever anyone discovers exactly what the Universe is for and why it is here, it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable.

Awesome! I literally just created an account because I stumbled over the internet archives efforts to preserve flash using ...ruffle! So cool to see that you are already working on this!

How can I help? Senior PHP / golang developer here ;-)

If you want to help the project you can look it up here. Its written in rust and mainly developed by the main dev "Herschel".
There is also the option of funding the development via Github Sponsors. I had an idea to collect money from z0r-fans and donating it to the Ruffle project in the name of z0r (so we get over $25/month and z0r content maybe gets prioritized), but i'd probably have to declare the donations i handle as "income" and that would probably complicate that... oh well, i hate taxes Smile
I'd be willing to look into that if there is interest.
